DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.1. Maintain and document the inventory of drugs and other pharmaceuticals in the Inpatient pharmacy.
1.2. Distribution of medications and pharmaceuticals as floor stock to the nursing units throughout the hospital.
1.3. Regulate stock levels within the Pharmacy Department and the nursing units (floor stock).
1.4. Monitor stocks for near-expiry, slow-moving and fast-moving products, in coordination with the Inpatient staff and manage requests and dispense accordingly (FEFO – First Expiry – First Out).
1.5. Audit stocks in the Pharmacy Department on a regular basis to identify any discrepancies.
1.6. Communicate with the Purchasing department for any new requests.
1.7. Order and receive medications, IV fluids and other consumable items in the Pharmacy Department from the Main Drugs and Hospital Store.
1.8. Maintain proper documentations for all transactions to and from the Pharmacy Department.
1.9. Possess following core competencies:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree, Associate or diploma holder of Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Valid practice license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a tertiary care hospital
