DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.1. Actively participate in patient care rounds with other members of the healthcare team
1.2. Assist medical staff with the selection of drug therapy and patient monitoring
1.3. Advise physicians on drug usage and dose control
1.4. Assume responsibility for patient specific pharmacotherapy plan to ensure optimal outcomes
1.5. Furnish assistance in review and interpretation of medication orders for clarity, accuracy, rationality, compatibility, feasibility and suitability for the patients specific needs
1.6. Assess patients and advise physicians for optimal Parenteral Nutrition regimen, in coordination with the Nutritionist.
1.7. Act as drug information and education resource for patients, students, colleagues, medical and nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
1.8. Conduct daily systematic medication reviews for patients in critical care areas.
1.9. Document therapeutic recommendations in the patient file
1.10. Establish Medication Use Evaluation and Medication Use Review Programs
1.11. Organize, with the Pharmacy manager training and Continuing Education programs for hospital and pharmacy staff.
1.12. Carry out other duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid Saudi Commission For Health Specialties License as Specialist – Pharmacy
• Saudi National
